In my essay,I try to show that pre-Qin秦rujia儒家formulated valuable elements of a valid and important theory of criticism conducive to ideas of humaneness, and that this applies especially to the Book of Xunzi荀子.I argue that the validity and importance result from fulfilling e.g.the following criteria: i.Criticism should refer to and deal with sufficiently important topics,questions and problems(i.e.,the dao道) and not be carping, ii.it should be objective,logically consistent and based on human experience, iii.well founded and convincing, iV.expressed clearly and in accord with established language conventions, V.honest,expressing real interest in the welfare of the criticized,combined with tolerance,without any arrogance,and put forward in a becoming way.

From cosmology to salvation,the concept of heaven always plays an indispensable role in Chinese faiths system as much as God does in the Abrahamic faiths system in the west.For Chinese,heaven is the creator,law-giver,moral admonisher and savior.The relation between heaven and the creature is one of integration between them,in this cosmic integration the specific one between heaven and man bearing distinguishable prominence.Since Chinese cosmology is categorized as evolutionary one instead of an absolute-otherness-creation by God,every sentient being like human beings share by nature the holiness of heaven,hence introducing in a universal incarnation exhibiting unique initiative and dynamic in human beings,so called the embodiment of sacred heaven by man.The religious message bestowed on heaven,the natural celestial body,reveals the peculiar feature of Chinese culture.Heaven is the orthodox sources for all possible world of Chinese:emperors are sons of heaven,people the civilian of heaven,laws the reasons of heaven,fates the mandates of heaven, morals the hearts of heaven,the whole worlds the spheres under heaven,and therefore heaven is condemned to be the justification for Being and beings.
